HIV and Single Frequently Frequently Asked QuestionsHow Do I Get Started? How Do I Get Started?First you need to become a member by registering and creating a profile. This only takes a minute or two. It's just one page and standard membership is FREE. Simply click on Join Now from the home page and fill out the registration/profile page. Your profile will be submitted for approval, and will be reviewed within 24 - 48 hours. You will recieve and email from us on the outcome. However, even before your profile is approved, you can log in to the site and immediately search members, edit your profile, add pictures, flirt, etc. Your profile just won't be viewable to others until it's approved. TIP: Make sure you upload a photo! Profiles with photos get 10 times more responses than ones without. NOTE: The about me section and ideal match description require a minimum of 150 characters and it must be a clear description. No gibberish, or the same word or phrase repeated over and over. Also no profanity, foul language or contact info is allowed. How Do I Add A Picture?You can add your main photo when you register. Just click "choose file" on the registration page. You can also add additional photos after you register by following the steps below:
TIP: The main problem people have when uploading a photo is, the picture is too large. Maximum photo size is 1.4 megabytes. If you need to resize your picture, use a picture editing program like Microsoft Paint, which is a standard program on every Windows computer. NOTE: Please do not upload any nude or inappropriate photos, or your profile will be rejected and sent back to you for correction. How do I Add a Video?
How Do I Use Instant Messenger?When you find a member that's online, an Instant Message icon will be displayed on their profile. Simply click this icon and an instant message box will open and you can start chatting with them immediately! I Lost My Password/Username, How Do I Log In?If you forget your username or password then you can have it resent by clicking on the 'resend password' link under the login box. Enter the e-mail address you registered with and we will send you your password. How do I Add an Audio File?Follow the same instructions for adding the video, except select "Manage Audio" from the My Media page. How do I See Who's Who's Viewed Me, Who's Emailed Me, Who's Flirted With Me, Etc?Simply click on the "home" button from anywhere on the site. This will take your home page. Here you can see everything that's going on, such as who's viewed you, your friend requests, your emails, etc. How Do I Search For Members?Simply click on the "Search" button at the top of the page, fill out the criteria and click "search". If you scroll down you will find advanced search criteria. How Can I get Messages From Members Via Text on My Cell Phone?When you register it asks for your cell phone number and SMS (Mobile Phone) carrier. If you enter this information, then a little cell phone image will show up when people view your profile. They can click on this and send you a text message, right from the computer! It's a very cool feature! TIP: If you did not give us the information during registration, you can add it by going to the My Account section and clicking "Amend Registration". Just scroll down and enter your cell phone number and carrier!. How do I Add People to My Favorites List?When you are viewing someones profile, simply click the little yellow star and you will add that person toyour favorites list. This is a good way to keep track of the people you are interested in. How do I Add Friends and Create a Network of Friends?When you are viewing a profile and you wish to have that person as a friend, simply scroll to the bottom and click "Add Friend". That person will then be prompted to accept your friend request. If they accept it, then you are friends! How Do I Edit My Profile?To edit your profile, simply click on “MyAccount” at the top of the page and click “Amend Profile”. When you edit your profile it is submitted for approval again. What are My Matches?If you click on the "My Matches" button at the top of the page, our matching system will show you a list of potential matches for you based on the information you filled out in your profile. TIP: When you register you are automatically set up to recieve your matches vis emai. If you wish to turn this service off, just go to "My Account", and select "Remove Match-Mail". Match MailMatch mail allows you to select certain criteria in a potential partner and have people that meet this criteria emailed directly to you. When you register it automatically sets up your match mail, based on the criteria you select, however you can edit this at any time. Simply go the search page, select your criteria and at the top of the page check the box that says "click this box to save search for match mail". How Do I Hide My Profile?From the My Account Section, scroll down and select hidden or visible under the "Current Profile Status" box. What's the Difference Between Standard Membership and Premium Membership?Standard Membership allows you to create a profile, add photos, search for members, and flirt with members for free. How does HIV and Single Protect My Privacy and HIV Status?HIV and Single understands how sensitive your privacy is. Therefore, the charge on your credit card statement or bank account will show up as HAS and NOT HIV and Single. In addition, HIV and Single NEVER under any circumstances, shares, sells or releases any of your personal information. How do I Delete My Profile?There's really no reason to ever delete your profile as it has nothing to do with your billing. However if you must delete yourself from the system, just click "My Account" at the top of the screen and click "Delete Me". This will permanently remove your from the system. If you are a premium member, this does NOT stop you're billing. To stop you're billing see below! How do I Cancel My Billing/Subscription?Premium members can cancel their subscription very easily, at any time, by clicking on "My Account" and then "Cancel Subscription". Your subscription will be cancelled within 24 hours and you will not be billed further. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your payment period. How do I get a Refund?There are no refunds of subscription fees however you can cancel your subscription at any time.
